Austria's most popular company vehicles 2023
Based on our customers' orders, we have compiled a ranking of the most popular company vehicles in 2023. Even at first glance, it is clear that Austria's companies are focusing more than ever on e-mobility. However, the number 1 is the Škoda Octavia, a classic in the business class.
Top 10 most popular company cars in 2023
The Škoda Octavia was by far the most ordered vehicle at ALD Automotive | LeasePlan in Austria in 2023. In addition to Škoda, three brands dominate the top 10: VW (three models), BMW (three models) and Tesla (two models). Tesla's Model Y was the second most popular company car, followed by the VW Golf in third place. The high proportion of electric vehicles is particularly striking. Seven of the ten most ordered cars last year were fully electric.

Austria's fleet managers are fully committed to electric vehicles
Almost every second vehicle ordered in the previous year was an electric car or plug-in hybrid. Austria's fleet managers are clearly leaning towards all-electric cars: 89% of the cars with alternative drive systems ordered were electric vehicles. A look at the most ordered e-vehicles in 2023 shows a colorful picture. In addition to Tesla's Model Y (1st place), the Škoda Enyaq (2nd place) and BMW's i4 (3rd place) are in the top spots. The BMW iX3 and the VW ID.4 complete the top 5 most popular e-vehicles, albeit somewhat behind the winner's podium in percentage terms.

E-mobility is slowly arriving in the commercial sector
Companies have special requirements for commercial vehicles. For a long time, electric vans were not convincing due to their limitations. Last year's new model generations brought significant improvements for the first time in years and thus met with growing interest among Austria's tradespeople. This is also reflected in the ranking of the most ordered commercial vehicles. The Fiat Scudo (5th place) is an e-transporter in the top 5, but the clear favorites in the previous year were the Ford Transit Custom (1st place) and the VW Transporter (2nd place), which together accounted for around a third of all commercial vehicle orders.
